I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
